Introduction
Welcome to my website and I hope you enjoy looking at my card range. I have always enjoyed drawing and went to art college in the early 1970’s to study Graphic Design but it is only in the last five years, since discovering watercolour, that I feel as if I have found my medium.
I particularly enjoy painting flowers and children and like a free and loose approach, letting the watercolour flow and wander to describe movement, form and light.
My photographic range of cards, which will appear on this site at a later date, comes from the pleasure I get in capturing attractive images I see around me and living near the historic city of York there is plenty of scope for that.
I am a member of the York Art Society, exhibiting with them twice a year, and have an increasing number of outlets for my growing card range.
I was excited at bringing out my first calendar in 2010 and look forward to lots more painting now that I am retired.
